The Fruits of Artistic Collaboration

Design Project: Remodel Lake House, Canyon Lake, TX

Art is consistently voracious for “alone time”,  whereas design is all about collaboration. Design projects have need for customized  furnishings and art. Collaboration with other artists can insure the finished product is well designed and produced.

When the client is a collector and appreciator of art, doors are open for custom design.  Using a paneled screen as both an art object and a window covering is a great solution.

I sought out artists, Sheron Foster of Sedona and Tom Alexander of Flagstaff, Az to collaborate on creating a screen with a bold image. Sheron is known for her Goddess Yoni images which are published in a new Goddess Yoni Coloring book for women. The Studio 61 designed the screen and Tom Alexander provided image production for the final product.

What a rush bringing together Sedona and my new home in Central Texas with art!  During the time I lived and worked in Sedona, I initiated  numerous art and community collaborations, and participated in scores more.  Coming together with artists provides a richness to living there, as does the landscape itself.   I am glad I have not left that richness behind.

Thank you Sheron Foster and Tom Alexander.
